Have you got an interest about the oil and gas industry?

We have depended on natural resourcing for many years which includes clothing, food and transport. For over 5000 years natural oil has been used.

During this time it has helped with lighting functions, medication and transportation, and it is still being used in various sectors today. In order to make boats waterproof, oil was drilled from the ground and used as paint.

Due to the high demand and limited supply of oil, the prices increased. Even though the Arab League is the number one producer of oil, the U.S.A is the biggest buyer.

Every year the United States of America consume 25% of nearly 30 billion barrels of oil.

Did you want to know what the oil processes are?

Within the oil industry there are three processes which are used:

  • The Upstream Process
  • The Downstream Process
  • The Midstream Process

If you want to recover or search for natural gas and crude oil then you need to use the Upstream process.

The following steps are used in this process:

  • You need to search for underground and underwater oil or gas fields.
  • Wells need to be drilled.
  • The wells also need to be operated.
  • After the wells have been operated you need to bring crude oil to the surface.

Processing and purifying raw natural gases and refining petroleum crude oil is Downstream processing. Some of the products derived from crude oil are natural gas, waxes, lubricants, gasoline or petrol, diesel oil, fuel oil and more. These products are also distributed and sold. During the process of downstream, midstream operations are also used. Therefore midstream is usually considered to be a part of the downstream sector. Petroleum oil plays a big part in our lives.

Did you know that petroleum was even used to make the piece of equipment you are reading on, right now!

iGAS provide a range of services for the oil and gas industry including on and off shore solutions. Our staff have many years of experience in the oil and gas industry and in the industrial gas industry. Because our engineers have so much experience, when challenges appear by the oil and gas industry we are able to provide solutions that can overcome these challenges. Some of these challenges are:

  • Location
  • Extreme Conditions
  • Set -up/decommission time constraints
  • Move ability

Finding the right manufacturer of food processing equipment

Finding the right manufacturer of food processing equipment can be difficult; this is because you need to ensure that the machinery is manufactured to your specification and requirements.

Firstly what is food processing equipment?

Food processing equipment is used to transform raw ingredients into foods or other forms. This is very important because these machines are able to increase the duration of shelf-life for products and it also makes them more attractive and hygienic.

There are many types of food processing equipment for example conveyors, platforms, turnover units, weighing systems and more. Once you have determined which machine/ what type of equipment you require then you will be able to find the right manufacturer for you.

When you are searching for a manufacturer you need to ensure that they have many years of experience within the food industry. This is because they will be able to understand your requirements. Having years of experience within the food industry can be very important this is because you are hiring a manufacturer to design and construct equipment which will be handling food.

Another thing which is extremely important for food processing equipment is the materials being used. You should always make sure that the manufacturer uses stain steel to build your equipment. Using stainless steel has many advantages for example it is a very hygienic material. Stainless steel is easy to clean and maintain, this is because it has no pores which means dirt, grime or bacteria cannot seep into cracks. Stainless steel is also very durable this is because of its great resistance to corrosion; therefore stainless steel would be the ideal choice of material to use when using equipment within the food industry.

MCE Engineering have an extensive knowledge and wealth of experience working within the food processing industry. We are able to develop a wide and varied range of state of the art equipment and machinery, which is cost effective. We offer a wide range of services which are related to our food processing manufacturing service, this includes a design service where we are able help you assess and design a range of high quality food processing equipment for your business.
We also have an extensive range of Cheesemaking equipment available.
